Happy endings go on for ever more!

Mika's is an amazing collection, isn't it? Anyway, that was not the reason I logged in to blog when my back is hurting and feels like it is gonna snap in two (lest you get alarmed, let me explain that it is because of spending a whole Sunday cleaning the house).

So, the big news is that, yesterday, one of the online Indian matrimonial sites registered a new user - yours truly. After months of thinking about it and being told to do so, I finally finished creating the profile. I went shopping soon after that, with the satisfaction of getting something unpleasant out of the way. I called up my mom and told her the happy news (happy for her) and was amused by the surprised tones. Ha!

The smugness, however, soon transformed into panic when I came back home and saw 2 "interests" waiting for my response. After frantically messaging my mom to chat with me the next day (when I would put up my usual and futile fight against the whole damn thing of marriage in this way and even show them this), I decided to delete my profile. As luck would have it, the server did not respond. While I was trying to get the message through to the server, my friends (who were online) managed to calm me down. I was, again, amused by the excitement shown by my friends - "Finally, she's doing something about it. We got through to her!"

So, the profile is still up and hope's alive.

Ritu,
tum bhee naa are yaar there are swiss guys hitting on you left and right and u want to respond to those desi guys' "interests" -irony of life!!
One of them is probably thinking "Oh the girl is at onsite how much must she be making" the other one is probably fed up eating out and is looking for a girl to come and start cooking for him ofcourse after slogging a whole day at work so he could pay EMI to the flat he's booked after paying your dowry money as downpayment!!
Go talk to your swiss friend. Give number to the keywalla swiss guy!!
This is your once chance to escape the desi HAS-BANDs (Tere hasee bund!) :) and those stupid friends probably grew up fantasizing about wearing ghoonghat and papad belofying for saas.Grr bad influences move out

hehheh... Am so glad to find someone who's thinking like me! :P Though I wish I was more encouraging to the European guys flirting with me, I don't fancy giving my number so easily. There should be some romance in life... What can I say - I am a dreamer :D

Rest assured, my friends aren't the ones who have dreamt such. They are more like me, I'm sure! It is only that they are concerned that I am still single. :)

ha ha :)) yeah all singles think like that until the knot is tied then they switch sides including me:).

You know what, if you ever get a chance you should watch this musical play called "Company" where is a self proclaimed single forever bachelor
spends his 33rd(?) birthday with 10 of his friends who also happened to be 5 couples and aftet the whole party he's convinced to be committed its really funny plus the characters themselves are also the orchestra/symphony its a lovely thing every single should watch before getting married:)
am sure you will laugh like crazy and make up your mind for good.
(Google it you might find a dvd!)

lol.. friends waiting and wishing you get married, remind me of a joke.. there will be a bunch of people around a well in a village counting ek ek ek..
do.. doo..doo..

a passerby wonders whats going on and makes his way through them to the well to peep and see whats happening these guys push him into the well and start teen teen teen :))
Happy Hunting Ritu.
(Hint: to know if u r really ready to get married, wake up at 11:30 PM or 4:00 AM and see if you still have people on your phone directory that you can call at that hour to just yap yap without a second thought.. if theres none u can think of (except parents cos of time diff) then u shd get serious :)

By the way my gut feeling from reading yourr blogs say you will pair much better off with a moderate to conservative romantic european that a Desi..
ab yeh Ritu woh india wali Ritu nahee rahee apne dil me jhaak ke dekho desh badlaa log badle lifestyle badla andaaz badlaa, its ok dil desi reha sakta hai par that doesnt impy u will still be able to getalong with desi's socho Ritu. Like most guys responded in a survey Madhuri dixit is nice on screen but shaadi keliye school teacher chaahiye jo aadha din kaam kare poori tankhaa laaye :)
so you might want to be more encouraging and watchful with europeans ok now am not against Desi's :)

So are you saying that marriage is the end of romance?? :O My, my! Don't be a traitor to the cause! :P

I checked out "Company" on Wiki. Seems interesting enough... magar I don't like open-ended stories with multiple possibilities. My imagination works overtime and comes up with so many plots and sub-plots ki I find it exhausting to watch such things. Phir bhi, I'll try to find this to watch it.

Aur rahi baat moderate aur conservative European ki, jo mujhe samajh sakey - toh he's just as difficult to find as a romantic, cute, humourous and forward-minded desi. Waise is "hunting" ke liye mera ek funda hai - "Mine is not to question why; mine is to do and die" ;)

Who are you, by the way?

hey the anonymous one again..
Thought of you suddenly today

By any chance are you dating the swiss friend who offered to help you?Not yet? some other swiss guy with healthy cheeks and high cheek bones ? nope? How boring!!

Nope!! or ended up meeting a guy your aunt's sister in law's friend suggested?
(how better is that compared to blind dating a stranger from personals)

so whats your story?:) pls dont give yet another version of onsite girl marrying that lonely desolute desi onsite guy!!
and of the things you both have in common is that you both like Shahrukh Khan!! was the first you discovered :) lol

anyway, Ritu kaisee hein?

hey! nice to hear from you again! as you can see, the blog is deplorably outdated! but yeah, romantic status of life is the same even now. The swiss friend found a swiss girlfriend and is now working in India (I know, I know - My marketing skills are unquestionable!). Haven't met many other swiss guys, though some french and italian guys are around, but none are "available" (no! don't tell me that i have to use my marketing skills in another way!)
waise, ab aur time nahi spend karna "usko" dhoondne mein... ab uski baari mujhe dhoondne ki :D
and how've you been all these months?
